Default P2A03, P2A00, and P0138

So I had my codes checked for the first time in awhile, I used to check it once a week but would only see the P2A00 code due to my headers, anyway now I have 2 new ones.

As they read:

Code:
DTC Results Time
A/F Sensor1 (B1)...............16
[P2A00]

A/F Sensor1 (B2)................0
[P2A03]

HO2S2(B1)......................1t
[P0138]
Dealer told me that the number indicates how many times the car has started since the code showed up. I don't think that's right. I think the P0138 has only been triggered once which would explain 1t, or as i would think "1 time". Not sure why P2A03 would trigger everytime it's started since I've never even seen that one before.

Now I know that I have a cracked rear header, it looks like I bottomed out before the flex pipe so there was no give, splendid. Trying to find someone locally who has a tig? welder and stainless weld to fix it (that's what Brian told me to do). For now it was patched with a regular weld which will eventually rust out. I think the patch already popped off since I can hear the leak again.

Anyone know if these codes are all being caused by this crack? I put in a NEO with a wideband and have been screwing with that a little so I wonder if I didn't screw something up while tuning that. One day I noticed that my idle was hesitating so I turned off the air map, still hesitating, bleh...

Also, get a heavy gas smell now and then, it seemed to stop after they patched the header. The dealer did say that the cracked header may try to suck in air which would throw a bad reading to the ECU causing the engine to dump more gas. Which I think is happening since I get this heavy gas smell now and then. The crack is right where the 3 pipes come together which is before the sensors in the O2 sensors obviously.

O2's are all about a year old Bosch so I doubt it's the sensors themselves. (If anyone remembers, they cut my O2's when they installed the headers because good mechanics don't need to read instructions.....)

yes this is the first time I can agree with the dealer.

Anytime you have a crack or open header , the o2's will read back flow and cause the A/F to be thrown, the ECU is trying to compensate now and thus your idle issues.

How badly was it crack and how did they repair it?

It sounds like that spot weld the crack and didn't sleeve it , anytime you weld any part of the exhaust, they should spray some paint on the welds and that will prevent it from rust.

Theres still a chances that the o2's could be damage after these repairs.

we had a 4Runner in the shop, the customer had the cats cut off in the parking lot.

we welded in a new cat and clear the codes but they came back, so new o2's has to go back in.

Had my codes checked again today, just P2A00 as usuall. I think the first cob job weld is holding and the other codes were from before the weld was done. Scheduled an oil change so we can take a look when it gets on a lift in 2 weeks.
