Default p0726 Error

Hi. I'm looking to buy this other maxima and i took it to Nissan to check out a problem. The code was p0726. I would like to know if the car is still worth buying and how much would it cost to fix it.

Thanks in advanced.

Did a search on that code and this is what it's saying "Engine Speed Input Circuit". Not sure how much it would cost to fix it or what all it entails. Maybe some other members can help you out.

This is a code set for engine speed input signal.
Its detected engine speed/actual engine torque signal or torque reduction signal that goes from Ecm through CAN communication to TCM

The engine speed input is sent from ECM To TCM.
Possible cause would be Harness/connectors
Or ECM.

This is an electrical issue, and if you come into most shops you are not goin to get a verbal quote for electrical problems.

This repair is easiest to diagnose with Consult (Dealer)

If you have it diagnosed at ABC shop it will Involve probing ECM/TCM, and that it will be expensive. TCM is located behind/underneath your radio. On top of that the vehicle MIGHT need to be driven on he hoist while being probed for TCM input signals.

Hope this helps you at least get some idea of what's involved.
