Default Need Tips From Our Manual (6Spd) Drivers!

hey guys, so as some of you may know my 350z was in the mechanic getting the abs pump changed, i got the car back today!! , so i took it out for a test drive, everything is working great..thank god!, but i have a quick question, usually in city driving i get into first gear and second gear smooth, but once i get into third gear the car jerks a little, i dont know if im shifting too soon..or????...for those who drive manual transmission, at what speed do you usually shift through gears and at what rpms? this is my first stick shift car so i dont really know much about it!

If its jerking try rev matching a bit and engage clutch slower. You can shift whenever you want depending on the situation. Gas saving mode= 2-2.5k.

Yeai agree , if you release the clutch too early the torque tends to jerk the car like a piņata, I've experienced this first hand in my old speed6 let off clutch early and bam the car felt like it wanted to take off like a wild bronco that refuses to be broken in

Are you sure you've shifted into 3rd gear?
