Default Is My Throttle Body Messed Up?

So I installed the 5 piece spacers and I hooked up everything the way it's suppose to be..but now the engine doesn't rev up all the way, it stops at like 4000rpm then goes down..I kinda dropped the throttle body but the fall was maybe 1 foot. Could that have messed it up?

Did you remove the rear bracket that will not allow the IM to sit all the way down? Sounds like a massive leak that will send the engine into safe mode. Mine did that and that was the issue.

I didn't clean it with anything and I did remove the bracket and I took off the uim twice to make sure it was properly seated. I might take it to the dealer to see if they can fix it

So you drove it to the shop and they checked the oil, the car has to be sitting on a flat surface for a while to get an accurate reading thats what I was always taught so the oil has a chance to settle

That does sound like a lot but it is a lot of work putting those in, it took me probably around 4-5 hours to get mine on mostly because I've never done something like that before and every bolt is seized up

That what they said, that it's like 5 hours of work and that they were gonna have trouble with the bolts. But other than the bolts was everything else a little easier? I think I might try it

Yea, that's too much. My shop in SD said he'd charge me $250-300 tops for my headers install. Shop around

Im amazed a dealership would install hfpc. Most shops won't touch cats unless your replacing it with the same thing... I had a shop do my y-pipe. But i had to come after hours. The manager stayed late an put it on for me.. Only charged me 40 bucks. That he put in his pocket...lol... After what he went through to get the factory pipe off. I would say he should have asked for 60....

If you've never done a project like that before and you don't have a full lift and air tools its going to be a major headache but if you want to try it try the front cat first that is the easy one and youll get an idea of the work its gonna take

High flow cats, Racingline y-pipe, Magnaflow resonator, Flowmaster exhaust

The high flows are a very nice improvement, the stock cats are very restricting

Your gonna have to pull off the intake manifold and the windshield wipers and the plastic across the bottom of the windshield and then there will be a metal bracket going across the engine bay take that out then you will be able to see the bolts for the rear cat and be able to get to them

A lot of disassembly to get to the rear one
