Default Letting Off Throttle At Lower Speeds Jerks Abruptly

2008 maxima SE
80k miles
Mods: aftermarket intake and recent installation of 3 piece intake spacer kit. With this I followed procedures to reset computer.

This became more noticeable on my current 900 mile vacation trip. I installed the spacers the day before.

Issue: while in motion, letting off throttle causes car to abruptly slow down with an initial jerk. It's extremely annoying especially when your passengers get jerked forward and backward. Proceed with applying slight throttle and it clunks forward.

Is this the CVT?
Or does this have to do with the spacer kit and the reset of the computer?

Only after spacer install. I tried resetting the PCM and idle timing steps.. but still have the same issue.

I can hear the throttle plate slam open when I go full throttle (if in manual 3).. probably normal but never noticed it before. Still makes me tempted to pull the throttle body off and give it a good clean.

Hmm someone else will have to step in on this then, I was having the same issue for awhile and it turned out to be the motor mounts. As for thee throttle body I have heard nothing but horror stories and maybe one good story from people cleaning them and then not being able to get their idle back to normal again.

I will keep that in mind. It's definitely a possibility, I'm prone for bad timing. thanks for some input to keep this going.

You're on to something, considering the check engine light came on with code:

P0171

Possible causes
- Intake air leaks
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Lack of fuel
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection

I am not looking forward to pulling them off. I must have done a bad job applying the RTV gasket.
