Default Have To Pull Shifter Hard To Go Into Drive

Hey guys the "N" in the gear selector display doesn't show up when the car is in neutral, but a little bit above neutral, now I had to pull down on the shifter really hard to put it into drive. It's like it's aligned. Shifter bushings, neutral safety switch or could the actual linkage be off. Thanks guys

could be the shift lock is out of place or the linkage itself

The shifter that sits on top of the transmisison was loose! I tightened it down and haven't had any issues yet!

Lol its running good now! Had parts of it painted day before yesterday, new struts, shocks, obviously timing chain, valve body, the interior is being sprayed today. Hopefully it will be ready for sale tomorrow. I paid 2,700 for it. Only has 102k miles.
