Default Engine Winding Noise??????

heyy guys....i have an 05 with 96k on it and ive had this winding noise in my enine ever since ive had the car.....its there wen it idle wen it revs and wen im driving....anyone kno the cause or a way i can fix this....sounds like timing chain....thanx

Your car's mileage is in the "range"...it very well could be the timing chain guides. There are multiple threads here regarding that issue. It's a pretty pricey repair if you don't have any kind of warranty. Your best bet is to hit up MrDolla for the parts and then take them to a mechanic that you trust.

well its been making the noise ever since i bought the car wen it had 40k on it....so i dnt thinkn its that bad.....but its just annoying i wanna get rid of it u kno.....almost sounds like a winding supercharger lol

WOW! If it's been doing it for 60,000 miles, you better get it taken care of soon. It isn't going to get any better, but you can bet it's getting worse.
