Engine Swap And Maybe 6 Speed Conversion
 

Ok so my old engine is toast and I found a great deal on a new one. It came in the cradle with 6 spd tranny, both axels, struts, and power steering rack. I pulled the tranny off and am having trouble with the flywheel. Looks like a special torque bit that goes into it and I cant find out what it is exactly. Does anyone know what size it is? Was thinking about doing the swap but am not sure its worth the money. Any help would be appreciated. :supersmilie:

what year did this motor and tranny came out of ?

I cant remember what the size is for the torque bit, I'll see if I can find it online and report back.

is it worth it ? well if you love your maxima and your engine is toast , and you got the everything, why not ?

Came out of 05 but I read T55 and it feels loose in there. I dont want to strip them out and will have to use an impact Im sure.

I dont have everything, would want new flywheel and clutch plus all cables, master cyl, and pedals and all that crap. Plus thats too big of a job for me. Would love a manual though lol

Well if you get the right torque bit,

put the bit in and knock it in with a hammer before you use the gun on it.

should knock the tension and help eaze the bit out
