It won't fix it, but it may help slow down the wear. How many miles are on your car? If your tensioner guides are worn through, you HAVE to get them replaced. If you let it go and the tensioner or chain fail, you'll destroy your engine.

yeaaaa man that sucks, I did mine shit aint cheap, luckily my uncle did the job for me. You can buy all the parts as a package deal on ebay now though, not sure if they are OEM parts or about their quality, but might be worth looking into. I bought all my parts from AAA Nissan Parts online

$496 for parts at Rock Auto. I've been noticing on the boards that the failures are typically occurring around the 80K-100K mark, so I guess you're about due. Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

That's good to hear, but keep listening. If it comes back, don't wait too long to take care of it.

mine has been doing that for months. wait until you put about 2,000 miles after that recent oil change and you'll hear it again. nissan quoted me $1,600 to replace everything about a timming change because they'll have to warranty the job and no they wont just do the tensioners because of the same reasons. the tensioner cost $80.00 but its a bitch to get to and is a borderline pull the engine type of job.
