Default Engine Idle Advice - Whats Next

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction before i have to take the max into the stealership to get the idle reprogrammed. My max seems like its gulping air when stopped and it wants to stall.

I already replaced my Crankshaft sensor (P0335) and my Camshaft sensor (P0340) after suffering similar issues. I'm not sure if there is another damn sensor waiting to go out (bank 2?) or if its really just a reprogram if the idle air. I've already set it multiple times and it seems as if I've been successful just from the cars feedback but then this again? ?????.

My idle is right around 7500 when this happens and dips to maybe 7200 when gulping air. I'm not getting any codes yet either.

For idle air relearn - are there any other pointers when manually setting the idle air (e.g. not too quick 5 times within 5 seconds - #6..)?

Any ideas?

Disconnect 1 injector and try the relearn again. Let me know how it turns out.

Hopefully it works. I can only help with what I had similar experience with. Good Luck.

With an idle of 7500 you might have to disconnect more then one injector....ive never seen high idle like that....usually they are around the half mark....

Thanks for the help, its appreciated. I tried disconnecting the fuel injectors and did the relearn to no avail. Then the engine started misfiring and finally threw a code of P0302 after driving on it a couple days. SO something is going on with cylinder #2 but not sure where to go from here. I changed my plugs with-in the last 3-4 months so I don't think its the plugs but what about the coil pack?

I found this on OBD-II

Causes A code P0302 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plug or wire - just changed them
Faulty coil (pack) - was cheap and didn't replace them, should have
Faulty oxygen sensor(s) ?
Faulty fuel injector ?
Burned exhaust valve - ?
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Running out of fuel - no
Poor compression - ?
Defective computer - ?

I read in another thread here that they cleared their code by replacing the coil pack in #2 . Anyone else? I'd rather try and replace something if I can pinpoint it. ......

Swap coilpack from 2 to 4 and see if code pops up for cylinder 4 if it does its your coilpack, I had this problem on cylinder 1 and changed plugs but code came back I swapped 1 and 2 and code came up for cylinder 2 I replaced coilpack and code never came back.

When i bought my 6th gen, it was stalling like crazy. My dads mechanic cleaned the intake manifolds and cylinder heads, and changed the spark plugs to platinum. These things cured it. The previous owner tried changing out a bunch of sensors, and nothing worked. Buddy didn't even change his oil in his 1 year ownership of the car..so we did that as well.

As far as high idle goes.... hopefully Ill never have to deal with that.

Man, why can't I think like this? No code is throwing yet and the car is starting to respond much better. Idle seems to hold like normal and no stuttering yet. Trying to find a 24hr parts shop now for the coil Thank you all
