IMO that picture looks like its on a 4th gen and
It looks like its nothing more than a short ram intake, with a little plastic fan attached to the filter. I mean essentially the idea is there but I say no

Useless and a waste of $$$. It was tried on a 3.5 Altima and well... didn't work out as the claims said.

Save your $$.

Gimmicks , an electic fan thats runs inside a intake charged pipe,

you could buy a PC computer parts like the Torando Fan and install it within the pipe..

Thats basically what it is, doesnt do anything , for you to gain.

They try to use the word * FORCE INDUCTION * so they figure HEY if we can force cool air into the intake, its boosted !

not worth your time mate !

The concept it valid. The only problem is that to develop just 1psi of boost it would take approximately 3/4 hp. Thats not taking into account losses due to the inefficiancy of the fan and housing. Electric supercharging is possable unfortanately the amount of power required to develop any usable boost would far exceed any gains experienced at the wheels.

It is not a hugh demand for a S/C right now for the 6th gen , the Market wont supply if the demand is not high..

If I would post a poll right now , how many would purchase a $3-4K Supercharger kit RIGHT NOW !

you would probally get alot of question marks.

dont hold your breath right now.

There is one known CUSTOM Supercharger for the L31 Altima 3.5 over at Nissanclub fourms.

And theres this KIT that NO has yet to get their hands on it..

http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?11071024201997

Ive inquired about it a few times to a DEAD END.

But based on that setup , and my connections with a few companies in the U.K.

http://www.rotrexsuperchargers.co.uk/Rotrex/index.htm

^^ we would probally used a rotrex SC and build our own S/C kit.

I belive 2 years ago my boss was all up do it a one off S/C kit if the customer step up with the funds.

That didnt get much attention so we scrap the idea.

EDIT : there is one more way you can make the current S/C work , you must used the VQ30DE Timming chain cover and use Matty's S/C plate and build off that, but then you wouldnt be able to use the VTC cam sprockets or VTC anymore

How the hell do you know what any of those Chinese symbols mean? And it can't be 75 grand.. Also what kind of demand will you need for you or your shop to try to come up with something? You think you would be able to make something that could be duplicated for ours cars.. Could be a lot of money for you right?

Nizmo - How much work would be needed to make this kit fit our cars? We seem to have a similar set up to the Cefiro 3.5. IS it really that much different in terms fitment?

Im Chinese , and its 75 Yeun equals 11,378.12 US

My boss offer this setup for the local guys here in FL a couple of years ago , no one step up , he has a short attention span which I dont blame him..

If you offer a deal and no one jumps on it, its a dead deal.
For us to get involved in it now , wouldnt be worth the time , we have alot of projects going on now and we still need to finsh up my setup

Well we would need a S/C with a balance shaft like the one picture in the link.
Brackets are easy to make , as you see in the pics there isnt a intercooler which alot of ppl end up adding to , another main concern making bracket to hold the supercharger itself, it needs to be support either off the tranny , the mount or the engine block

you would also need to figure out feeding the oil and return for the S/C , and probally need a custom tensior pulley , Probally the current VQ30DE from stillen may work.

its a bit involeded which requires the maxima and parts ordering..

have to go with a smaller battery or relocated it to the rear, the fuse holder would be move to one side.

Upper Rad hose re-done
