Default Re: Dyno Run Prices

this is off local guy website... kinda expensive i think. I want to get dyno tune, but how much usaually people pay?

Hardware:SCT chip $299 or SCT X3 Flash tuner $379

Dyno Tuning:Most dyno tune rates fall into one of three categories:

$300 — Basic Naturally Aspirated (NA) tune with minor bolt-ons.
$400 — Typical "heads/cam/intake" (HCI) combinations, cars with larger than stock fuel injectors or aftermarket cold air intakes that require re-mapping the MAF curve, computer controlled automatics that have to be locked into gear for the dyno.
$500+ — Supercharged vehicles or any combination requiring 50lb or larger injectors, race vehicles with 3500+ stall converters. Costs may go as higher depending on amount of modifications and time required to perfect the combination.

umm are you guys fucking serious ?

But then again those prices is Dyno Time, and the Tuners Time.

If your talking about just Dyno time , my price is $30 bucks an hour , and I Tune my own or bring my own tuners which is a differnt price.

My greddy Emanage guy hourly rate is $150

My Emerald Standalone guy hourly rate is $100

My Pro EFI guy hourly rate is $140

And those are their rates , I get a differnt rate for my own cars.

guys are making a killing up there and out west

If your trying to find out what your running with your setup now ,

I suggest you change NOTHING , no tire pressure change and just dyno it in 3rd AUTO.

get a 1st pull base line run,

then pull , run it hard.

changing pressure only dicates the dyno to show #s that your not going to use on a daily.

if your just trying to pull higher #s , I suggest you go with a some smaller tires, light weight wheels.

But thats not a point of a dyno , you just want to basically see where baseline is at with the mods you have.

I suggest you re-set the ecu and let it relearn before you hit the dyno.

And honestly twisted, (depending on how your old true dual setup was) you should have did a before and after runs with your new exhuast setup.

I still belive in a true dual if you build it right, and some have went 3 inch single piping.

My setup saw 16whp gain with supporting mods and standalone

Dyno to see whp and Dyno Tune are two different things. Dyno Tune = $300-500. You can usually get a few dyno pulls at car shows or events for around $40 (not a tune, just to see your whp).

I'm been looking into getting aem wideband o2 and apexi safc to have more control and to observe my car more. I was asking about rim size because I have a set of 17s I wanted to use on dyno day.
A guy local wants to trade me zex wet kit for my 22's, so I'm going holla at him tomorrow and see if all the pieces are with the kit. I want to get baseline hp reading of my car without spray then go back when it installed and test and tune with them. I know there expensive, but only shop in la I know of.

It's a wet kit. Bottle heater, window switch, remote bottle opener. I'm tired of big rims. I want speed again
