Default Do I Change A Filter For My Transmission Fluid?

I have a 2004 nissan maxima se. I went to advance auto and bought everything I need for a transmission fluid change. One thing I noticed is that the guy said I needed a filter for the transmission fluid. Do I need it, and if so where does it go? I bought it anyways just in case. I can't seem to find a video or tutorial on where it's located. Also I read I don't have a filter to replace. I'm not sure what is true now. Can someone help me please? Thanks so much!

I think i'm going to take back the filter and even the oil too. How can I have the special oil from Nissan delivered to my house? Just curious if it's possible to take care of that online.

Amazon carries the Matic-K fluid as well. Point being there's a few online options.

Most people change the gasket around the transmission pan if its very worn. Other then that, it's just Matic Nissan Fluid.
