Default Dealer Replaced Timing Chains Due To The Noise!

Okay so I have an 08' and I just hit 50,000 a couple days ago. I heard the "infamous" ticking noise, brought it to the dealership and they replaced the timing chain. (under warranty). Since i've gotten the car back, my car has been idleing at 500-600 rpms and i'm feeling more vibration then I remember having before the timing chain was replaced. Any suggestions, or info? I came from a long line of mustangs (older ones) and bought this because I had a daughter. This is my first import and my first vehicle where everything is electronic. My newest car before this was 2001, so this is a huge difference! haha

I'd take it back to the dealer to make sure all is good and they timed it all right. Unfortunately, our cars work on electronics and can't be adjusted like the old school carb'd cars.

Take that thing back ASAP!!!! My mom had her timing chain replaced due to the tensioner malfuncion and when they were said and done they didn't adjust the timing on it properly and was skipped and caused bent valves and damage to the head, then they tried to blame her for supposedly saying it was her fault for using a programmer and using the wrong fuel .

That's good to know! I'll bring it in there on monday then. My car is under warranty for another 2 years/100,000 miles. So every little thing I find wrong with it, I bring it there and make them fix it. haha so when it's up, I should be good to go. How many miles should I expect to get out of this car? Also, do all the CVT's have a couple seconds of delay between switching from Drive to Reverse?

The idle is def. low which causes that shaking/vibration. Sounds like you need an idle air relearn. Let the dealer take care of that for you.
