Default Cruise Control Speed Limiter?

So I was headed to work the other day, and running late. I got on the interstate and was running about 95 and tried to set the cruise - it wouldn't set. I checked to make sure it was on, and it was. I tried to set it again and again it wouldn't set. I turned the cruise off, waited a few minutes, turned it back on and tried it again. IT STILL WOULDN'T SET! So by this time I'm getting pretty heated, thinking there is something wrong with cruise system. So I slowed down to 80, which is where I normally cruise at, so I know I can set it there, or should be able to. I hit set and it sets. So I hold the Accel button to see if I can get it up to 95. It goes up to 90 or 91 and stops.

So basically, here's what I learned: 90 or 91 is as high as you can set your cruise control. Did anyone else know this??

I knew that from other cars I've had. I guess I've just never tried to cruise at 95 before.

If you're doing ninety plus miles per hour, you are driving at an illegal speed. Do you think Nissan is that stupid to allow you to do it without your feet?

I understand that logic. But that means they think it's ok/safe to cruise at 89 mph.

89 mph is good.
Normal for "Super Speeding' in Ga.

25mph to 92mph is the range in which the cruise control will engage. Wish it was higher. Not like im going to set it at 149mph.

I never tried cruising that fast. I like the feel of my foot hitting the bottom. Good to know though.

Yes 89 is the Max. I believe there are some private highways in texas that are 85mph, thus +4mph brings you to 89, but that is just a theory lol. 95 is pretty fast man lol. Not to speak of the price of 93 oct too >_>. I learned my lesson doing 90 in a 65 (bumped it down to 75, nice guy, unless he just was acting like it because the ticket was just under 250.. cough first speeding offense in Florida cannot exceed 250 so I read somewhere) , never went above 78 on purpose since lol.

your feet need to be on the pedals when you're doing 80mph+ for so many reasons.

Highest posted speed here in Canada is 60mph i believe, there may be one or two roads that are 70, but not that ive seen. Most people drive around 80 on the major highways though. I dont think i would feel safe using cruise above 90 mph with the other drivers here.

When I travel Between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. About 110 miles away. My minimum speed in my X5 is 100mph, I can barely tell Im going that fast and I can set the cruise control. Apparently the Germans know that is not the speed that kills you but the operator.
