Default Cheap eBay CAI?

Looking for a short ram intake. I live in an area that loves to flood and would not be suitable for a true CAI. I found this on ebay, says that it can be converted to short ram:

Just curious of any advice. On my old altima, I installed a short ram that was ~ $60 and it worked out well... Bonus, it's blue which saves me the trouble of painting it.

Go for it, I have one also, cost me $30, installed it myself, and till today it's still chrome. What people need to realize is that you're not paying for the product, you're paying for the name. All CAI and SRI are all the same, all you will get is 5hp, you're lucky if you get that much. But like I said go for it. You'll be happy that you actually have extra money in your pockets for other mods.

Thanks, K-Ryder. That was exactly what I was looking for. I was searching for 04-08 since I have an 08, but I think the MAF and crank case hose should be the same. Thanks again!

I would, except I can't go the true CAI route because of flooding, as stated above...and paying 200+ for a short ram sounds a little ridiculous. Two of the three tabs for my stock intake filter housing are broken, so I have the option of possibly breaking the third when I replace the drop in, replacing the filter housing which is about 300, or just getting a cheap short ram. I'm not looking for major gains, just to get a bit of growl on hard acceleration but mostly just to replace the broken stock box.

Is there any trouble fitting the MAF with this sort of intake? The one I installed on my altima had to have a mounting plate to fit the bracket to the MAF which was a MAJOR PIA to find...
