Default Car Was Produced Before 2004

My 6th gen was made in 10/03, and it has the 705-8Y000 valve body in it.
which valve body would replace the 8Y000 one? the A or the B?

All cars are made that way. You just replace the part for 04-06 Maxima.

But there are 2 options, A and B.
I wanna know which valve body to buy if the production date was before 2004.

This is what Im trying to tell you. You don't go by the year it was made, if you did that then your 6th gen would be a 5.5 gen and it's not. You drive a 2004-2006 model and you buy the part for that year.

705-8Y00A- 2004.08-2005.08 replaced the 8Y001
705-8Y00B- 2004.01-2005.08 replaced the 8Y002

The transmission I have in my car right now is 705-8Y000
because my car was made in between these dates -->2003.01-2004.01
the 8Y000 valve body is discontinued after they realized it was a POS

So do I go with the B to fix the valve body problem?

Thats odd, I didn't know the 5spd was available on the earliest models.

Any chance you can call the dealer and see what they say? (that's what I would do, as well as inquiring here)

Yes, 705-8Y000 is for some 6th gens manufactured in 2003. It's discontinued, and at Nissan Parts Zone, its replacement is not stated, but at Courtesy Parts they have its replacement with the product number 31705-A34002. Well I'm not sure whether this is 8Y00A or 8Y00B, because these are 31705-A34003 and 31705-A34004 respectively. So try them out at Courtesy Parts

That'd be to unfair to say, except you have ascertained it is. Mind you the original VB is said to have been discontinued.

The 4-speed auto 6th gens do not have the tranny problems generally characteristic of their 5-speed counterparts. The 4-speed auto 6th gen has same tranny with that in the 5.5 gen.
