Ok guys after all the Performance Mods it seems like the car is still slow as a stock maxima. Im getting 6 sec from 0-60 and i was hoping for like 5.5 or 5.8ish. So far i have Nismo Intake, NWP 5pc kit, BOP, Y-pipe, Racingling HFPC. My friends 06 altima 3.5 stock seems be quicker the my maxima. It makes me wanna part it out and Get rid of it now. Im not expecting it to be fast car but i should see an noticeable difference. Do i need to get it tuned or something? I timed it with the stock wheels but now i have the G37s wheels 19". Does that makes a difference since they are pretty heavy?
Here the Video i made today. |

Hard to tell from the vid, it does seem slow to take off. That click at 18seconds what is that? You have a CVT so it's a bit different than what I am used to hearing.
The real way to know is try and get a dyno. |

As far as i know its hard to get it dyno because of the stupid CVT? |

Can you turn off traction control? I would expect that you can feel the increase in power. IMO anything over 10-12whp gain you should be able to feel, and you should have that with your mods.
Well, if you can't work it out on a dyno, do you have a 1/4mile track nearby? That's more fun than the dyno anyway. |

just raced my friend 2008 350z 6spd stock. from 20-80mph he beat me all 3 times. 2 times by 1 car length and 1 times by 1 and half car. Which is not bad at all since he is 6speed Manual.
And yes he pretty good with manual since every car he owned was a manual. Last edited by deep007; 04-14-2012 at 06:52 PM. |

Well according to wikipedia, he's pushing 300 HP stock. Your Max stock is 265, with the spacers you're suppose to get an extra 10 - 12HP, not sure about the rest of those mods, but you should be CLOSE to 300HP. But with the CVT not sure how much power you're getting to your wheels or how the mods you have affect it. So that's really not bad at all.

It should fly all the way up to 95 but I think you don't have a cat-back right? I didn't read that in your list of mods, that bigger piping all the way back helps on the high end. Is your Nismo set up as a CAI or WAI? |

Not to
or anything, but will turning off traction control give a better launch? Or is it recommended to leave it on when racing. Not that I ever race lol just curious.
