Default 6 Speed Tranny Trouble Shifting Gears

Did some research and found its most likely the synchros. A member suggested amsoil gl-4 gear oil to help the problem. Could anyone double check my link before i order it? http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...ont%2fmtg.aspx

Im not sure about the "gear lube" part. Do i switch the tranny oil with this or add it to the oil thats already in? Sorry if its a dumb question.

Yeah I changed the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, throwout bearing, transmission fluid and differential fluid and still had the problem. Changed my synchros and problem went away, so in your situation I would replace the synchros first. By any chance when you park do you leave your car in gear?

I learned that when parked you should leave tranny in 1st or R. Is this not the case anymore?

That's only if you park on hills from my understanding, I park on a flat surface and if I leave it in gear, that gear will be rough to shift into the first fee minutes that I drive the car

Interesting. Never had that problem, but I never drove anything modded, just SUVs, and my mom's old 240sx.

Whenever (if) I get my kids a car, I'll get them a stick shift for sure.
