Default 2006 Nissan Maxima SL Tranny Question

Hey M6G, I haven't been here in a few month due to no time because of work and Maxima running good, however today I had to make time, today my automatic transmission jumped hard into drive, well I'm tell you exactly what happen, as i was driving my car (20 mins later) I got off my exit on the highway and was reaching the stop light and I notice a slight jerk/hit from 2nd gear to 1st gear, I didn't put mind to it however a few blocks later it happened again and I started putting mind to it. A few mins later I pulled over talked to my boy for 2 mins, I put the car in reverse backed up to give me some space to pull out, when I put it in to drive it took about 2 secs to catch gear (which is strange because it goes into gear instant) and when it did catch gear it went in hard, felt like a mount was broken, so I pulled over turned off my car for about 10-15secs turned it back on it went into drive normal. So as i reach my destination I go to park my car same routine I put in reverse when i put it in drive samething again. So now I'm worried can it be the tranny or computer, I know its not the mount because i replaced it last month. So 8 hours later I'm on the way home as I'm driving all I can think about is the tranny, 40 mins later I get home and the tranny was fine didn't jump not one time.

What can be the problem? Do I need a new transmission? Or get my transmission rebuilt? If so do you recommend someone in NY around Queens JFK area?

If it matter I only have 42.5k miles on the car engine is stock nothing aftermarket on the car besides Eibach springs sitting on G37s rims.

Thank you for looking and sorry for the long story

Sorry to hear bro...I had this same problem last year at 60k miles....There was alot of jerking between gears and also when i changed from park to drive or reverse, the only way to fix it well atleast for me was to get a new transmission from the dealer, also had my motor mounts replaced and problem solved. Ive been running my car for a year now and have 84k miles on it and it runs smoother than a baby's bottom

What is the valve body? I never heard of this, is it a easy fix? How can I determine 100% this is the issue?

I'm trying to avoid replacing the tranny, I was thinking maybe it's a sensor, I was having an issue last year the car would jerk at a certain rpm, again at that point I thought it was the tranny, but turned out to be a sensor.

As for my motor mounts I replaced them a year ago and I just replace my tranny mount about a month ago

With that many miles its 100% the issue . We have 3 linear solenoids that are known to go bad in a sense because of the teflon coating inside that makes the Pintle stick . When it sticks it creates the problems you are having .

So what is my solution? Should I take it to nissan? I'm sure I take it to a shop they will want to rebuild the tranny
