Default Rear Ended On The Way To Work....

So there I was on my way to work and sitting at a stop light. Something told me to just look up and as soon as I look in the rear view mirror, SLAM!!! This lady hits my car and almost pushes me into the truck in front of me. I managed to stop just a few inches away and luckily saved my front end from being destroyed. I've only had this car a little over three months now! When we pull into the parking lot this witch has the nerve to tell me, "oh, it's not that bad." I wanted to choke slam her on the concrete, and I would never hit a woman(except this one). Not to mention, I conceal carry and didn't need to go down that road, lol . Needless to say I was very pissed but maintained my composure and exchanged information. FML

I was able to contact her insurance company, get an appointment and see the adjuster the same day. I had taken care of everything before she even contacted her insurance company. The insurance company gave me $1300 for the damage and waiting to see what I get for my neck. I had to go to the doctor the next day because of pain in my neck and shoulder.

The worst part of all this is that I can't get my car to the shop until July 5th . That's the earliest appointment I could get. I want my baby fixed ASAP!

Pics coming soon!

I'm sure a lot of us here know how you feel. We've had our share of accidents and the stupid waiting period from insurance companies, adjusters, body shops, etc.

Stay on top of this and make sure everything is fixed back to new condition. Also make sure that the parts used are reliable/OEM parts.

Take your neck issue seriously. Even if you request therapy, MD appts, etc., at least you'll be taken care of.

Good luck.

Glad to hear no one was seriously hurt. Make sure you take care of those neck and back pains, they can lead to other issues down the line if you don't. After you take care of yourself be sure to get your car taking care of by a reputable shop.

These senseless accidents are a fact of daily driving. I bet she was not paying attention due to some electronic distraction, HER CELL PHONE!!

I hope your neck injury is not serious.

The Machine will be as good as new. Use the extra time to consider any Mod's you might be considering and have them installed at the same time as the repairs.

When I read your past I was thinking, What the hell is going on this summer? Are people out to destroy all of the Max's out there? LOL. The day before my accident I saw a silver 6.5 gen max with the back end smashed, the trunk was completely gone. I then said, "I hope that never happens to me." Mine wasn't nearly as bad, but it happened the very next morning!

Your accident was almost totally identical to mine...right down to the other driver telling you "that's not so bad"...did your exhaust get bent from the hit?

Ouch, Neck injuries are nothing to scoff at. Make sure you don't scoff at the injury. It gets worse the older you get. Glad you ok technically. You may have to wait a bit for the repairs but atleast it will all be done correctly.

Yes, the bent exhaust and everything was from the hit.

I got her back a couple days ago looking like new again! That Hyundai rental just wasn't my style, lol. It was funny because I saw a Charger sitting there at the shop and I thought, "sweet , that must be for me!" WRONG!!! They were like this one is for you over here. I thought I would get a similar car to mine but they said I have to pay an upgrade fee for something similar to my car.

As far as the injuries go, I'm feeling pretty good. I still have a little aching in my neck and shoulder. I will be going in for a follow up visit soon.
