Default ShawnD's 05 Maxima

This is the first vehicle I've used that I have the money to actually mod it. My first vehicle was a 93 camry with almost zero aftermarket stuff and I had it from 06-13. When I blew a HG on it I drove an 89 chevy scotsdale for awhile, it was a massive extended cab, full bed gas guzzler. In October of 11 I bought a 97 4runner limited, after two blown HGs on that I decided to get rid of it as fast as possible. I had big plans for that truck but it was just dumb.

For the Maxima I want to make a nice vehicle that will last me at least 6 years. I bought it with just over 74k miles on it and everything looks pretty mint except some trim pieces that are faded beyond recovery and the couple paint chips a 8 year old car has.

So far I have put on a racingline front strut tower bar, an Injen cold air intake, an eBay exhaust, and today I have plasti dipped my rear emblems and plan on painting my engine bay plastics.

When I picked it up from the dealer

Had to clean the bay after a week at work, I have to park in a dirt lot and you can see how dirty it gets in the fstb picture.

First mod! Racingline front strut tower bar. It didn't fit to well but luckily I work somewhere that I can modify things. I don't have pictures of how I had to grind down the plastic covers but you can see what I did in the plasti-dip pictures.

Thanks, the shop I went to for the dyno gave me some confidence, they build mustang, miata, and high power STi track cars but had nothing bad to say about this gen maxima lol I was gonna plasti-dip my wheels today but whoever put these wheels on decided to use an air impact and I about strained my muscles around my ribs getting just one lug off hahaha

Something awesome might be happening for me at work and if it does I plan on getting an entire spare intake assembly and driving down to NWP and dropping it off for their porting stuff, I want more power!

I like the style. You considering going with 19" instead of 18"?

My stock CD player is pretty much dead now so time to put in some audio equipment

Head unit: Amazon.com: Sony DSXS100 Digital Media Receiver: Car Electronics I traded it for a chikfila lunch last year for my 4runner and never put it in

the sub I am going to use
Street Duty SDC2.5-12-D4 Subwoofer
the amp
Q1-1200D Amplifier

And I think I am gonna copy the box design from this thread
how many ports holes - Page 2 - Car Audio Forumz - The #1 Car Audio Forum

can't wait to have real bass again, I had a couple 10s in my camry and miss it

Its not in my purchase history anymore but it was 182 bucks, I think only a few sellers have it at that price point

Sorry I couldn't help more. A lot of people complain about rust but if you polish it the shine stays and the rust isn't there.

Small update. I have put up with not having any real bass for long enough so I have ordered some products to fix this! I am going a SoundQubed HDS212-D2 for the sub and a HiFonics ZRX1200.1 D to power it. Depending on how much money I have left after bills and stuff on this pay period I might order a custom box from woofer warehouse. I had two 10" entry level kickers in my old camry and its crazy how much more built this one 12 is. Also those two 10s only took like 250 watts RMS, this 12 will push 600 RMS all day and the kicker box I had was around 2.50 cubic feet and this one sub needs around 3.25-3.50 cubic feet to operate properly. Its insane and should be amazing.

Sub: http://www.soundqubed.com/HDS212_p_221.html
Amp: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This will probably be all I put into it, maybe lowering springs. I have finally convinced myself to try and get an Audi s4 so I will try and save some money now haha
