Default Raz76 06 Maxima Under Construction

Well, Im new to this forum and was asked to start my build thread so here it is. I got my Maxima October of 2009. I've been slowly building it to my likings. I have to say, I love the manual transmission, that's what sold me to the car. Enough with my story , lets get to the car.

After I left the dealership, I stopped and had the windows tinted, 5% all around. Can't be driving around in no fish bowl. This is right when I brought her home.

looks really good. everything seems like its coming along nicely.

just one thing. ur list looks good cept for the performance chip part. we dnt use chips, i would recommend a apexi safc 2 to adjust your air to fuel ratio to squeeze out all the whp out of your car since your going to be getting a lot of breather mods. also know tuning that thing will cost a lot of $$$. i remember getting quoted like $150 an hr on a dyno and then $250-300 to tune

I'll keep that in mind when time comes but I don't mind paying for a good tune. What's the point of all those upgrades if I don't finish it off with a good tune. Know what I mean. I'm one of those guys that will not cut corners. Do it right the first time or go home.

See the chrome trim piece that runs directly under he mirror in the picture?? Also the fact that the Altima mirror rest above the trim piece. On our MAxima's, the mirror itself goes over the trim and all the way up to the painted door.
That's the ones I was going to do but after removing mine, realized that it wont work. The chrome trim piece on the outside does not go all the way to the end. It stops at the mirror and the Altima Mirrors will not cover that part, look out of place because of it not have a good bond that in turn cause noise at higher speeds. Im going to just abandon this project.

i really admire that you sold old parts and took steps to mod your car tastefully. keep it up. i always wanted to do the conversion but im leaning towards the GTR kit to fill in body space that the 22's seem to hog plus i dont like the 04-06 bumpers at all so i am going the cheaper route than the conversion

Gap between the grill and hood you mean?? Yeah the hood is not closed all the way. Seems like I have to force it down to close so if Im not driving it, it stays like that.
