Default Project Nicki

Ive been lurking on this forum way too long, I must share with you my Maxima.

Lets see first off the main reason I've been lurking is because well my Maxima is nowhere near as great as some of the ones ive seen here.

Standard Maxima 2004 SL Bose Non-Navi

Also Ive been pushin the G37x for a year now and its a great car, but since the weather has been getting better Its time I mod my Max named Nicki Minaj.
Reason I name her nicki is because well shes black and loud :P

Here are some pics of my ride in the past year, and how she sits now.

Now the reason for the last photo was around the end of Dec 12' I went up a mountain in NJ for a church retreat, but the conditions were too horrible and I ended up in a bank, the only damage is just the bumper fell off and bald tires. After the retreat I decided to save up a little and start to mod my car.

Heres a few photos to show you how HAM im going in on this project

Thanks guys trying to keep a sporty VIP feel to the interior. Figured I could liven the interior a bit.

The exhaust is a Greddy SP2 Catback, not sure what the TOPspeed exhaust looks like.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

So I promised id show you what my dash looks like and I thought why not show you the process of wrapping it in vinyl.

Tools required for a nice finish is the following.

-Vinyl (I used Scotch 3M 1080 Brushed Aluminum Black)
-Vinyl tool (helps push bubbles when applying)
-X-Acto knife (always swap out the blade when I start a new panel)
-$20 HomeDepot Wagner heat gun
-80%+ Rubbing Alcohol (to prep/clean off any oil/dirt)

Click the image to open in full size.
This is what it looked like before (you can see around the edges it has some wear)

Click the image to open in full size.
This is the Metra Double Din piece (its okay but when you buy it, you can tell it still has the seams along the edges but since im going to cover it I went ahead and sanded the edges with 600-800grit.

Click the image to open in full size.
I try my best to line up the lines (you dont want lines going at 30/45degrees LOL)
Then I use the heat gun and massage the lines

Click the image to open in full size.
Then I take my knife and cut around etc.
