Default Timing chain guide is trash! Anyway to use a 3.0 primary guide?

Im doing the timing chain, and I see how poorly made the factory primary guide is.

The old 3.0 guide popped up when I was searching parts, and it is designed much better. I assume they changed it so that people would have to come in for service more often.

Does anyone know if the 3.0 primary timing chain guide will work? If so, what year and how?

Not sure, I do know that Nissan fixed the primary guide though. Which in my opinion they should have recalled these motors but what do I know...

Actually I'm thinking a 3.5 guide from 2002 and 2003 Maxima is the closest. Might need the tensioner and guide rail from a 2003. Not sure if it work. 2003 guide looks beefy and strong. Our 2004-2008 guides are obviously too weak.

Insane that they changed it.
