That is where the oil is going , but since your driving the car, no one will notice the oil dripping as the car is moving, this could cause low oil and people not checking up on the oil level on a regular.
I mean how many times do the average person check their oil ? they usually watch the mileage and wait til 3K to do the oil change.
This could be possiabitly, why Oil Pump failure happens, Low oil can cause the pump to go into major failure.
its just my theory but logically makes sense, The other 2 oil pump failure , was one on the .org
and the other one was a customer of mine, who also ran low on oil.
Are you talking about the thick rubber gasket/ring on the oil filter itself? It goes bad? How long do they leave the filter on the car for the gasket to go bad? I've change a LOT of oil filters, and I've never seen a bad gasket...I also change my oil on a pretty regular basis.
