driving it back home was whole different experience. the grip has increased by 10x and the ride has gotten very stiff. the type of stiffness that would turn many people off. as of right now, the maxima is very stiff. so stiff that it made my day in long island yesterday a stressful one. am i doing something wrong here? i did dampen the front ones to its softest settings and i still have to do the rear, but the ride is mad stiff. how do you guys on coils handle it? i feel like im breaking something in the wheel well everytime i go over a pothole.
I don't think you did anything wrong. Speaking as someone who has been on BC's for almost 2 years (5.5 gen), it's going to feel like that no matter what you do to it while driving on Long Island. Like NYC, the roads are just terrible. The ride won't be comfortable over any potholes (let alone a crease in the road). I drove the car from here to Charlotte, NC and back...totally comfortable ride from the Jersey Tpke all the way to Charlotte. Where did the ride suck? You guessed it...driving through NY.
